Hey, I’m Ira
I got into design in 2019, kind of by accident. I was working in customer care at a product company and kept getting caught up in the product itself: why it worked the way it did, what I'd change, why no one asked the people actually using it. Eventually I took a course at Projector Institute and realized this was what I wanted to do.
Since then I've designed for Genesis, the largest Ukrainian product company, and Uptech, an international product studio with clients like Aspiration, Goat, and Nike. Most recently I've been the founding designer at Feeture, a music-tech startup, where I took the product from an empty Figma file to a shipped app used by thousands of artists. I'm now looking for my next role in Vancouver, or remotely across Canada.
Outside of work, I'm usually at the gym, in a yoga class, or making a mess at the pottery studio. I love traveling (30+ countries so far), making candles, getting out into nature on the West Coast, and finding small food spots most people walk past.
